Financial Aids & Scholarships

» Academic

Entrance Scholarships – This scholarship grants 100% exemption from tuition fee to high school valedictorians and 50% reduction in tuition fee to salutatorians for one (1) semester.

Entrance scholars must be graduates from high school recognized by the government with a graduating class of over 100. They must present a certificate signed by the Principal of the school attesting to the fact that they are either valedictorians or salutatorians and the total number of the students of the graduating class. They must have passed the EAC entrance examination.

Application for scholarship shall be filed with the office of the Registrar.

College Academic Scholarship – A scholarship consisting of 50% reduction in tuition fee is awarded to students of the college who satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  1. Have obtained during the semester under consideration a general weighted average at least 1.50 and no grade below 2.0.
  2. Have taken during the semester under consideration at least the normal load prescribed in the curriculum or not less than 18 academic units.
  3. Have passed and/or completed all non-academic requirements such as:
    1. Values education and enrichment program requirements in all semesters previous to that under consideration
    2. All Physical Education subjects during the first two years of the course as required and specified by the curriculum.
    3. ROTC 1 & 2 or CWTS 1 & 2 should have been completed during the first two years of the course as required to the curriculum.
    4. Have not been suspended nor committed any misconduct. Clearance for this should officially be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

In case of re-applications for academic scholarships, the student should have maintained such scholarships in the previous semesters.

The EAC Alumni Association Scholarship – This scholarship is given to deserving students enrolled in small colleges, like Education and Mass Communication. It consists of free tuition fee. A student who enjoys it for a semester may renew it until he/she finishes the course, provided however that he/she maintains a weighted average rating of 2.0 or higher, has no U.W. nor O.W nor failing grade in any subject.

Application to the scholarship shall be filed with the Alumni Office at the start of every semester.

The Dean’s List – Any student who qualifies to the College Academic Scholarship automatically belongs to the Dean’s List. For inclusion to the Dean’s List, the student should satisfy the same minimum requirements as in the academic scholarship, however the general weighted average should at least be 1.75 or higher.

Student Assistantship – The student assistantship Program aims to extend financial aid to poor but deserving student; to inculcate love for dignity of labor, commitment an dedication and assist the manpower pool of the various units in college.

A student assistant must satisfy the following qualifications:

  1. A bonafide student of the College with a residency of at least one year
  2. A weighted average of 2.00 for the previous semester
  3. Cooperative, hardworking, committed, dedicated and must be of good moral character
  4. Has not been subjected to any disciplinary action
  5. Passed the interview conducted by the Student Assistance Committee
  6. Has clerical ability and computer literacy
  7. Other requirements:
    1. Application Letter addressed to the President through the Registrar
    2. Recommendation of the College Dean and Dean of Student Affairs
    3. Police Clearance
    4. Two (2) copies of 2x2 ID pictures
    5. Recent parent’s income tax return
    6. Must be enrolled with 12 to 15 units

A student who qualifies will render at least 4 hours a day service in a designated office/unit and will receive compensation as may be determined by the administration.

» Talent Scholarship

The Yaman Lahi Foundation is providing scholarship for athletes, dance troupe, choir, peace and order program and the like, depending on the availability of funds and subject to academic performance.
