College of Liberal Arts
The College offers two programs; Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Bachelor of Science, major in Psychology. It has four departments, namely: Department of Mass Communication, Department of Psychology, Department of Languages and Humanities and Department of Social Sciences.
Department of Mass Communication
The Department of Mass Communication endeavors to:
- produce successful media practitioners equipped with the knowledge and skills needed in the profession and who adhere to the highest ethical standard of practice.
- develop the intellectual and creative capabilities of the students who can contribute to sustainable development of self and the country.
- prepare students to fit in various opportunities in the field of mass media.
- equip students to fit the profession, and imbue them with a sense of media service for family, community and country.
- build in the students a life of virtuous character, especially in the practice of the profession.
The Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology endeavors to:
- provide learning experiences through which students may develop their academic potential and which serve as foundation for lifelong learning.
- enable students to apply psychological expertise and expertise and theoretical frameworks to their chosen area of professional practice.
- develop range of collaborative and independent learning skills.
- inculcate wholesome attitudes, leadership and high ethical standards in the practice of profession.
- apply psychological principles to social issues that impact their lives and the lives of the others in the global community.

The Department of Languages and Humanities
The Department of Languages and Humanities endeavors to:
- promote the advocacy of English and Filipino proficiencies in all levels and disciplines.
- poster the mastery of skills in the five dimensions of thinking, listening, reading, speaking and writing.
- guide in the shaping of character to effect the development of the whole man: educated, cultured, refined and humane.
- produce students who are proficient in the use of English and Filipino.
- strengthen the communicative skills in all forms of instruction in the two languages.
- develop a deep appreciation for literature and the arts.
- help in uplifting the quality of life of the students, as a person and as a member of society.
The Department of Social Sciences
The Department of Social Sciences endeavors to :
- develop students with reflective, critical and humane attitude towards the realization of the human person.
- assist students to arrive at self-understanding and social awareness and live meaningfully and fruitfully.
- provide students with holistic knowledge of the social sciences and civic efficiency.
- develop students with critical and moral views on contemporary social issues in the local, national and global level.
- help students to understand the meaning and implications of being a Filipino.
Vision & Mission
The College of Liberal Arts endeavors to develop the intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual life of students to participate actively and meaningfully in improving their lives and those of others towards national progress, while making effort to humanize a technologically transforming world.
The College of Liberal Arts specifically aims to:
- provide general education anchored on humane and nationalistic and sustainable development paradigms
- serve as the convergence of discourses in communication arts, humanities, social sciences, psychology as well as culture and the arts
- offer degree programs such as Bachelor of science major in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and others that are geared towards the development of enlightened, involved and productive members of society.
