The College of Nutrition and Dietetics offers Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition.
The program of Nutrition and Dietetics aims to prepare students as Dietetics professionals who will enhance the quality of life for individuals, groups, families, organizations and communities. It provides the knowledge, skills, and values required for successful entry into a supervised practice program, graduate school or the job market.
Dietitians are trained in applying the principles of nutrition and food science to the individual’s health, fitness and nutrition as a way of life. Dietetics is a vital, growing field open to creativity and opportunity and the possibilities are endless.
Dedicated to the development of students who will be assets to the dietetics profession, it provides the environment in which students integrate the liberal arts, professional didactic courses and supervised practice experiences to enhance the individual and family life.
The program emphasizes the relationship of foods and nutrition to health. Successful students are able to communicate information, follow procedures, adhere to standards, organize work schedules, wise decision makers, emotionally stable and are able to handle difficult situations. They should have an interest and willingness to learn and keep abreast of the current literature and technology in food, nutrition and health.
It offers excellent preparation in the basic sciences and liberal education, a background in food science, and a focus on human needs related to nutrition, the curriculum is based on the foundation knowledge and skills for entry-level dietitians.
Nutrition and Dietetics students are provided with a good venue for training at the Medical Center Manila Dietary Department.

The College of Nutrition and Dietetics aims to provide comprehensive education in foods, nutrition, dietetics, and food service system and to produce graduates whose excellence in their profession is complemented by the understanding and appreciation of mankind, Filipino society and culture, science and technology, languages and the health sciences. Graduates of the College are providers, trainers and researchers who have faith in the country’s educational system.
