by: Francis Dobles Paraiso Deliberated to promote the welfare of the constituents of the community, EAC and Barangay 2, Zone 1 of Pasay City leaders pen into formality another year of community development during the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The MOA signing was held at the recreational center of the barangay last June 27 primarily with the College’s Community Extension and Outreach Program head, Mr. Francis James R. Esmeralda, and barangay chairman, Mr. Danilo Bagsik Feliciano. Mr. Esmeralda said that he was looking forward to renewing this agreement with the community to continue prompting programs in the barangay. Meanwhile, Chairman Feliciano expressed gratitude and enthusiasm saying, “Masaya kami na sa barangay namin kayo naglalaan ng inyong panahon at abala upang mapabuti ang aking mga ka-barangay.” Barangay 2 has been the adopted community of the College for the past year with its initial signing on July 26, 2014. The outreach program went as far as establishing a maternity clinic in the barangay that opened last June 26 this year. On the side note, a tooth brushing drill headed by Irynn Gepigon, DMD was held on the same day and was sponsored by the College’s School of Dentistry. This was in line with the goal of the School to develop a cavity-free community. Each School under EAC will spearhead their respective programs every Saturday in the succeeding months.
