School Clinic

Objectives

The School Clinic aims to:

  1. provide health awareness campaign against dengue fever, meningococcemia, hepatitis B and avian flu
  2. check proper sanitation in school environment
  3. provide health services among members of the EAC community

Functions and Services

Promotes and maintain a healthy and wholesome school population.

A. School Heath Services

  1. Takes charge of the physical and medical examination of the employees ( pre-employment and annual physical exam ) and students ( pre-enrolment and pre-internship of medical students, medtech, nursing, pharmacy and varsity players.
  2. Conducts consultations among employees (academic and non-academic personnel ) and students.
  3. Administer first aid treatment and provides an infirmary where students and employees can rest.
  4. Refers students, faculty members and employees to MCM emergency room and Rehab clinic in case of accidents and other emergencies.
  5. Refers students, faculty members and employees for admission at MCM hospital as needed.
  6. Immunization for Hepatitis A and B, meninggococcemia and flu vaccine.
  7. Supervises quarterly water analysis.
  8. Signs important documents like SSS and sick leave forms for employees as well as excuse slip for students.

B. School Health Instruction

  1. Conducts lectures and seminars ( PTB, Hepa B, Sars and Bird’s Flu )
  2. Use of visual displays or promotional materials and leaflets for drug alcohol abuses and addiction, Dengue Fever, Bird’s Flu, Hepa B and Meningococcemia.

C. School Health Living

  1. Maintain the safety of the school buildings thru the school Health and Safety Committee.
  2. Check proper sanitation of school environment.
  3. Conduct fire and earthquake drills as well as emergency service plans needed during disasters situations.
  4. Monitoring of the food court with their food handlers through annual renewal of health permit and Hepa A immunization.
