Emilio Aguinaldo College Manila is very happy to announce that it had conferred posthumously a Doctor of Public Administration (honoris causa) to Hon. Elpidio โ€œPidiโ€ F. Barzaga, Jr., for his selfless contributions to the growth and development of the City of Dasmariรฑas and the province of Cavite.

The conferment ceremonies were attended by his wife, Hon. Mayor Jennifer Austria-Barzaga, and their three (3) children to receive the diploma and the medallion as the symbol of his outstanding leadership, commitment, and achievements in the field of public service. This was witnessed by the Sangguniang Bayan of Dasmarinas City and other close friends and relatives of the late Congressman.

This was given on the 30th Day of July, 2024 on the occasion of the 51st Commencement Exercises of Emilio Aguinaldo College Manila at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, Philippines.

Out of 39 competing schools and universities across Asia-Pacific, the EAC Marian School of Nursing won the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE) Research Incubation Grant on April 5, 2024, held at Chonburi, Thailand.

The research grant was awarded to Dr. Sheryl H. Ramirez as the lead investigator of โ€œiSPOT: Development of a Web-Based Health Surveillance System for Emerging Diseasesโ€ research project. The purpose of the project is to develop a web-based healthcare surveillance system that can provide real-time data across healthcare agencies. This iSPOT Web-Based Health Surveillance System will foster rapid response to emerging health threats, detect early emerging disease outbreaks, and facilitate timely interventions and preventive measures.

EAC delegates from Manila and Cavite campuses, led by Dr. Lorna Catherine G. Raymundo and Dr. Rebecca D. Miranda, recently embarked on an 11-day educational trip to Nanyang Medical College in China from May 6 to May 16, 2024.
Participants took part in the ‘Zhongjing Workshop’, diving deep into the world of traditional Chinese medicine. This unique opportunity allowed them to connect with the profound and ancient practices of one of humanity’s earliest forms of medicine, deeply enriching their academic and personal growth.
As the program came to a close, EAC’s student representatives took the opportunity to exhibit the vibrant Filipino history and culture through a special cultural dance performance, demonstrating the college’s eagerness to present their national heritage on an international platform.
Through this cultural exchange, EAC emphasizes its dedication to being an academic institution that truly values and thrives on the exchange of knowledge and understanding across borders.
