DOST welcomes EAC to consortium
This year, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), together with its two research arms, officially welcomed EAC-Cavite to the Research community in Region IV.
In January, the Southern Tagalog Consortium for Industry and Energy Research and Development (STCIERD) granted EAC-Cavite its membership to the consortium, followed by the Health Research and Development Consortium Region IV-A (HRDCR IV-A) in mid-August.
STCIERD is the regional advocate of the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development (PCIERD), a sectoral planning council of DOST. It is mandated to coordinate the research and development efforts that address the needs of industry, energy, utilities and infrastructure sectors in Region IV.
Meanwhile, HRDCR IV-A was created by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, the national coordinating body for health research. It aims to "strengthen the system of collaboration in Region IV and enhance the capacities of institutions in health research as a strategy to improve the health conditions of the people."
